One of the protesters, a young iranian female named sarah, stated she became protesting to aid her circle of relatives and pals in iran. “my circle of relatives and pals are residing in fear,” she said. “they may be afraid to speak out in opposition to the regime, however i am not. I’m here to speak out for them.”

Various forms of oppression exist against women in America. However, there is real physical violence happening in Iran, and we are not being killed in the street for not wearing head scarves, claimed Sara Ghassemzadeh, one of the protesters.

Iran has been facing a broad revolt since Amini’s killing for more than a year. Since the 1979 revolution, the opposition is Iran’s greatest and longest-lasting anti-government movement.

The Iranian regime has responded to the uprising with a brutal crackdown. Security forces have killed hundreds of protesters and arrested thousands more. The regime has also cracked down on the media and social media, in an attempt to silence dissent.

Despite the regime’s crackdown, the uprising in Iran continues. The Iranian people are determined to put an end to the regime’s oppression and to build a better future for their country.
